Fila Brazillia consists of musicians David McSherry and Steve Cobby, who had been working under the name Fila Brazillia for sixteen years, between 1990 and 2006. Blending elements of rock, funk, trip hop, dub, electronica and anything else you’d like, they are often described as downtempo, but simple electronica will do as well in my opinion. They released ten albums in that sixteen year period, and these albums have more or less stayed to the electronica fusion genre. Unfortunately for me I have only ever seen one Fila Brazillia album, which I got second hand, probably third though, which was A Touch Of Cloth. It’s an interesting listen, I listened to the best part of it in a photography exam in March, so it’s great for that kind of background stuff, but never any full-on listening.
